Abstract:
Strippable, sprayable, protective coating systems conforming to the Type II requirements of MIL-C-6799 were applied over test panels coated with paint systems currently used on Naval aircraft. The coated panels were exposed for 30 days to 1 a controlled temperature environment of 73F and 50 R.H. and 2 an outdoor exposure in the Philadelphia area. Upon termination of these exposures, the MIL-C-6799, Type II coatings were easily stripped with no adverse effect to the painted substrates. Author
