Abstract:
The characteristics of the growth of cloud drops as a stochastic process is described in the first chapter which is followed by a discussion of the theories of cloud-drop growth. The influence of fluctuations in fields of humidity, cloud-drop concentration, turbulence, and vertical motions and the effect of electric charge on growth by coalescence are considered in order to formulate a general statistical theory to account for precipitation from warm clouds.
