Abstract:
Experiments on cyclotron resonance performed with a submillimeter spectrometer are discussed. These experiments were developed on tellurium and on metals the later in the Azbel-Kaner configuration. They allowed 1 to measure the mass constants of the ellipsoids of the valence band of tellurium 2 to show the existence of secondary lines of cyclotron resonance in tellurium at very high frequency 3 to verify the theoretical shape of the absorption line in copper and gallium, hence to measure directly the relaxation time.
