Abstract:

That part of Andreevs Index, which is not included in Aarne-Thompsons Index 1961, are translated into English. Andreevs Preface and Appendix, in which he proposes a scheme for classification of legends, and which may be of some historical interest, are added. All tale-summaries which are not included in Aarne-Thompson 1961, including jokes, which Andreev listed after no. 2000 are translated. As the comparative tables Andreev-Aarne-Thompson are full of print errors, new comparative tables are added so as to enable speedy orientation.
