Abstract:

An analysis is presented of approximately 6500 positive-tau to 2 positive pions negative-pion decays at rest. These events were found in a systematic frame-by-frame scan of 70-mm. bubble chamber film taken from the 30-in. Columbia-Brookhaven National Laboratory propane bubble chamber exposed to a separated positive-K meson beam. The energy spectra of the pions are compared to existing experimental data and to the spectra predicted by various theoretical models for t-decay. Author
