Abstract:
The Fock equation in the two-configuration approximation is solved for the 2p radial orbital of the excited configuration 1s22pq2 of the two-configuration approximation 1s22s22pq-1s22pq2 with q 2, 3, and 4 in the case of nitrogen. Energy values of the 2s and 2p electrons are determined and compared with the experimental data. Author
