Abstract:
Solutions to the Fock equations are presented in the multiconfiguration approximation for the 4p and 3d radial orbitals as the correction configurations of the two-configuration approximations 4s2-4p2 and 4s2-3d2, in the case of the negative ion of potassium. The energy value of the 4s2 shell is determined in the three-configuration approximation 4s2-4p2-3d2. The value of the electron affinity of the potassium atom is presented in the indicated three-configuration approximation. Author
