The report describes the methods and computer programs developed for determining the combined viscid-inviscid flow fields over generalized three-dimensional bodies. The inviscid flow field is determined by a three-dimensional method of characteristics program, while the laminar boundary layer is determined by a three-dimensional explicit finite difference method. The complete program, which can treat either ideal or real gas flows, is highly automated and provides many optional paths of analysis. This volume discusses the methods used in calculating both the viscid and inviscid flow fields, and the application of these methods by means of digital computer. Results are given for the viscid and inviscid flows over a delta wing, and for the viscid flow over an ellipsoid. The results are shown to be in good agreement with experimental results. Author
