Youngs modulus, the fracture stress and the fracture strain strain at fracture of Alumina Al2O3 were determined in a temperature range from -200C to 1200C by bending tests and the influence of the porosity, the grain size, the strain rate, the specimen diameter and length on these quantities was investigated. The bending tests were also extended in the same temperature range to other oxide ceramic materials like Magnesia MgO, Zirconia ZrO2 and Spinel Al2O3 . MgO. Temperature treatments were undertaken on Alumina specimens in the temperature range from 1000C to 1600C and the change of the porosity and the grain size was observed.
