Abstract:

The treatment of guinea-pigs with either methotrexate or cyclophosphamide, combined with the intradermal injection of the synthetic antigen pTyr,Glu, capable of inducing prolonged pure delayed sensitivity, resulted in the selective suppression of the immune response to pTyr,Glu while not affecting significantly either the delayed sensitivity or the antibody response to an unrelated antigen.
