Abstract:

Real and imaginary part of the E2-M1 mixing ratio of the 73 keV transition in Ir193 were determined in an arrangement that requires no correction for Faraday rotation and isomer shift. The parameters, E-gamma 73.8 keV, g12 0.9408, R-delta 0.556, H 1.437 MG, and f 0.5, were determined. The value Im-delta 1.0 plus or minus 1.7 x 0.001 results in a phase angle between E2 and M1 of eto 1.8 plus or minus 3.0 x 0.001, thus showing no evidence for a T violation. Author
