The report describes some practical techniques for capacitively loading TEM resonators in the UHF frequency range 200 - 1000 MHz. The effect of various loading capacitors air dielectric, Al2O3, sapphire, and lumped element, as well as the effect of fine-tuning on the unloaded Q, is presented. A design example is included in order to illustrate the use of certain design curves inclosed. Author
