Abstract:
This is a report of a theoretical result in the mathematical theory of n-person games. Since von Neumann and Morgenstern defined a solution concept for n-person games in characteristic function form, it has been conjectured that every game has a solution. This study states the definition of an n-person game, and then provides a counter-example to the conjecture on existence by describing a ten-person game that has no solution. Author
