Abstract:
Using pure fluidic devices, a controller was developed to maintain constant speed of a motor-generator set over a wide range of generator loads. Additionally, an electronic torque measurement was integrated with the fluidic controller to provide a load limiting capability. The motor-generator set consisted of an air motor and automobile generator, analogous to a steam driven electric generator. The speed controller demonstrated a slight droop characteristic for large loads, indicating that the desired proportional plus integral control had not been completely achieved. Author
