Abstract:
Geomagnetic micropulsations in the period range of 0.3 to 120 seconds have been recorded on flux-rate variographs at many widespread locations Palomar, California, since July 1955 Resolute Bay, Canada, since November 1957 Uppsala, Sweden, since July 1958 Reykjavik Iceland since June 1958 and Huancayo, Peru, since October 1958. The flux-rate variographs consist of pickup coils having a turns-area of 750 x 28,000 cm squared connected directly to galvanometers recording photographically with standard seismograph recording drums.
