The electric and magnetic field components produced by vertical and horizontal electric dipoles located at the surface of a semi-infinite anisotropic medium have been derived and presented for the quasi-static range. The receiving antenna has also been assumed to be located at the earths surface. It is shown that when the coefficient of anisotropy is unity, the results reduce to those of the isotropic earth. Some numerical values for the field-component functions have also been provided. Author
