Several novel organic-substituted B-N and B-O compounds were prepared, characterised, examined spectroscopically, and studied chemically. The new classes of compounds are the sulphamidoboranes, B.NH.SO2.NH.B, sulphonamidoboranes, B.NH.SO2, amidoboranes, B.NR.CO.R, carbamatoboranes, B.CO2.NRR, and cyclic boroureas, -BNR.CO2NR. Aminoboranes of types o-C6H4O2B.NRR and o-C6H4NH2B.NRR were studied, primarily from the standpoint of the equilibrium 2 monomer dimer hydrolytically-stable, and its dependence on R and R. Boron-oxygen compounds investigated include RO2B-O-BOR2, ROBO4 not yet confirmed, RRNBO3, and isocyanate-boroxine polymers. Author
