The memorandum describes the implementation and utility of a computational tool called Analyst Assistance Program AAP. AAP is a conversational computing facility used for performing small non-recurring numerical computations. The language was designed to make it possible for non-programmers to learn and use the system with a minimal amount of instruction 10-15 minutes. The system is implemented on an IBM 36040 computer which consist of two user consoles, each with a cathode ray tube display, light pen and low speed printer.
