Abstract:

A new method has been developed to determine molecular weight specifically, ratio g somega sq.D, where omega angular velocity, s sedimentation coefficient, D diffusion coefficient from an experimental schlieren plot, dcdr vs r, taken at equilibrium. By applying this method, one can determine the entire distribution of molecular weight from equilibrium sedimentation, as well as the average values.
