Abstract:

Advancements are now available for the partial mechanization of production drawings and even more in the area of schematics. Computers have been available for design calculations for more than fifteen years. Advancements are reflected in tape-controlled coordinate plotters. These and other improvements plus the possible automation of all phases of engineering design are considered in this Paper.
