Abstract:

The deformities which are produced in hamsters by latent rat virus are a result of the effect of the virus upon the osteogenesis and, possibly, lesion of the osteoblasts. The long bones are particularly affected at the ends where growth takes place therefore, the results of injuries to the skeleton and the teeth became more apparent with the growth of the animals.
