The effect of a leaders actions on his followers in small military units was the subject of several research studies conducted to explore the nature of the leadership process. The results of the studies emphasized the leaders active role in facilitating and motivating effective performance and minimizing disrupting influences. A framework for leadership training concepts was formulated.
