Abstract:

The work described in this report was performed with the support, and using the facilities, of the Military Research and Development Center at Bangkok, Thailand, a joint ThailandUnited States organization. The cooperation of staff members of the Thailand Ministry of Defense, the United States Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the United States Army Electronics Command made possible the work described. This report summarizes the technical effort conducted under Contract DA 36-039-AMC-00040E for the period covering 1 October 1965 through 31 March 1966. In several cases, work described has been conducted by Thai personnel assigned to the Military Research and Development Center. Readers interested in additional technical detail of work accomplished are urged to consult the published reports listed in Sec. III. These reports present detailed discussions of specific scientific investigations. The operations analysis work conducted under the contract will be reported separately in accordance with a special report schedule.
