Abstract:
The narrative report of CHAIN Cruise 46 includes the chief scientists journal, a summary track chart, and a log of stations occupied. The cruise was made in two parts first, to conduct a geophysical survey in the Caribbean region, and second, to participate in a survey of the coastal waters of Eastern United States in connection with a JOIDES program. The scienfific program included echo sounding continuous seismic reflection profiling bathymetry, gravity, and magnetic measurements and dredging, coring, bottom photography, and heat flow measurements.
