Abstract:

The Lectures Series on Orbit Optimization and Advanced Guidance Instrumentation were presented to invitees from the NATO Countries in Dusseldorf, Germany, October 14-22, 1964. They endeavored to present to the NATO Technical Community the current practices in the USA regarding the state of the art in sensors, approaches to guidance systems and the relationship between actual orbit design and the applicable mathematical theory. The book represents a compilation of the lecture notes used by the speakers at the time of their lecture.
