An experimental investigation was conducted on the use of corona wind in air as a means of triggering a fluid flip-flow amplifier element. The study centered on the ability to miniaturize the device. Specific emphasis was also given to the nature of the connecting lines and plenum for the lateral control ports. The results of the investigation indicated that the miniaturized units required very small currents to flip the primary jet, and that the units were very sensitive to the configuration of the plenum and lateral lines.
