Abstract:

The book is a student handbook in course and graduate design for technicians specializing in radio engineering. The handbook proposes a general method of design for low frequency amplifiers, video amplifiers, radio receiving and transmitting equipment. It shows the calculation of low and high frequency radio circuits, and gives examples of the calculation involving vacuum tubes and transistors. This book represents an attempt to systematize the methods of rough and technical design and computation of radio receiving and transmitting devices, low-frequency and video amplifiers, as well as typical stages using semiconductors, within an approved curriculum. The first four chapters explore the general problems in undergraduate and graduate design, and in approximate calculations. In the remaining chapters, the method of technical design is demonstrated and examples are given. The book provides basic mathematical relations and formulas, as well as a methodology and examples of problem solutions. Comparative characteristics of the physical peculiarities in uniform cascaded stages are included. Required handbook data for computations is given in the test and in appendices at the back of the book. Author
