The investigations of the biological characteristics of the various strains of the plague causative agent are significant in the theory of adaptation mutability. The method used in studying the biological properties of the plague microbe consisted of four sections cultural properties, virulence, bacteremia, and antigenic structure. A study was made of 11 strains of the plague causative agent from various natural foci.
