An investigation of the ignition delay of hydrogen-air mixtures near the second explosion limit at pressures of 15 and 30 psia was made in a shock tube. The shock tube calculations are discussed along with the problems encountered during the investigation. Attempts to correlate the data were satisfactorily accomplished when the HO2 recombination rate was assumed to be proportional to T-0.4.
