Abstract:
A nonlinear method is given for the description, in terms of nonphysical parameters, of fully cavitating cambered bodies in two-dimensional flow. The method, based on complex function theory and the spiral-vortex cavity model, permits a quasi-optimum design of certain classes of hydrofoils. Details of the procedure and means for its extension to other cambered bodies are described. Author
