Abstract:
A radioactive tracer procedure is used to investigate the effect of elevated temperatures on the quantities of chromium dissolving from chemically chromated aluminum surfaces. An interpretation of the results is presented. Data are also presented showing the effect of film thickness, aging period, and time of exposure in salt water on the solution of chromium from chemical conversion coatings. Author
