Abstract:

The research shows that changes in visual function following visual cortex lesions are not absolute. The study extends these observations and attempts to determine the nature of the residual function. In addition, the nature of the frontal lobe defect in monkeys is examined in various ways and support is advanced for a stimulus sampling hypothesis. Finally evidence is produced that long-term storage processes may be blocked by temporal lobe lesions. Author
