Abstract:

In the report a nomogram for the solution of Sahas equation is given. This nomogram was developed for the engineer or scientist working in the plasma field who wants a means to find an approximate plasma composition for a given pressure and temperature without too much effort for survey purposes. Nomograms of similar nature have been developed before by Unsoeld. The nomogram given in this report is designed especially for the determination of the electron density, which is important for applications to plasmas in devices designed for research in direct energy conversion.
