A compilation of abstracts based on Soviet open sources published in 1965 and a few sources published earlier. It is the sixth report in a series. There are two sections I. Communications equipment 25 entries and II. Communications facilities and their location 8 entries. These abstracts include the following information antenna matching device, circuit diagrams of various types of equipment, communication cables, block diagrams of facsimile equipment, switching equipment, data transmission on telegraph channels, train radio communication, three-channel carrier system for open-wire lines, railroad computer center, high-speed data transmission system on telephone lines. A review of the development of Soviet facsimile equipment is included in the Appendix. There are twelve references included with the review as well as numerous tables and illustrations. A bibliography with 33 entries is presented at the end of the report. Author
