The report describes an index and abstracts covering some of the recent research work on intravenous fat nutriment. The index headings were selected and are arranged in accord with a concept of a biophysicochemical model that attempts to describe all of the conditions and changes in which an intravenous fat nutriment formulation becomes involved from preparation and testing of starting materials, through emulsion preparation, storage, handling, testing, injection, and interaction with and use by an animal or patient. One purpose of the index is to more effectively provide information to fill in the fine details of the model, and to expedite development of a quantitative form of the model, and otherwise develop it to the point of practical use in improving productivity of research and development toward an essentially trouble-free nutriment.
