Abstract:

This report is concerned with a series of experiments in which the effects of manipulator restraints, i.e., load dynamics imposed on the operator, are central. The purposes of this investigation are to Determine the load effects on the human operators describing functions and performance measures for a representative variety of manipulator restraints and controlled elements. Provide inferential insight into the relative importance of limb position and output force senses in manual control.
