Pagination or Media Count:
The document presents the overall design and the programming details of the Six-Degrees-of-Freedom Flight Load Simulation Program. The program is coded in the FORTRAN II language which offers both flexibility and ease of program interpretation. While this program was compiled on an I.B.M. 7094 digital computer, only nominal modifications are required to adapt it to other machines 32 K core minimum capable of handling FORTRAN. In order to efficiently handle the complexity of this problem, the program is designed on a unit construction basis. That is, the logic flow of the problem is handled by a main program which utilizes individual subprograms to perform all calculations and arithmetical details. The logic flow chart of the Main Program provides the panoramic approach to the program design and doubles as an index to the purpose of the various subprograms. Subprograms not explicitedly shown are explained by means of comment cards in the respective listings. Complete symbolic listings of all the individual subprograms are presented. Logic flow charts are included with selected subprograms. The equations and their derivation are discussed in detail in Part I of this report. The mechanics of input data preparation and procedure of program submission are given in Part II of this report.
