Abstract:

Chromium phthalocyanine CrPc was obtained from the reaction of phthalonitrile with CrCO6. CrPc, which converts to CrPcOH upon exposure to air, proved to be a very useful intermediate for the preparation of Chromium III phthalocyanine phosphinates. Attempts to find evidence of polymeric forms V by chemical means were unsuccessful of the phosphinates.
