Abstract:
Results are presented of the absorption measurements carried out in Ashkhabad during the years 1954 - 1960. Diurnal, seasonal and annual variations of absorption are considered. The annual absorption variations are compared with the solar activity Wolfs numbers. Frequency dependence of the absorption factor is given on the basis of the data obtained at the time of solar flares. Absorption values for days of a quiet ionosphere are compared with absorption values for days of magneto-ionospheric disturbances. The problem of focusing of radiowaves from the ionosphere is considered. Appearance of reflection coefficient greater than 1 is pointed out as natural. Author
