Abstract:
Cellular forms of the hemolymph were examined in smears from proximal cuts of the legs, in smears from the internal organs of adult females in various physiological states, and in a few experimental states the introduction of a neutral red India ink and ammoniacal carmine into the body cavity. The hemolymph was studied in the natural state with the help of a phase-contrast attachment to microscope MBI-3. Fixation of the smears was done according to Vejdenrejkh, and the azure-eosin stain according to Romanovskij. The studies of Boophilus calcaratus and Hyalomma detritum were most detailed. The H. anatolicum, Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Dermacentor species were also studied. Author
