Abstract:
The investigation is concerned with the development of a theoretical model for combustion instability, in the longitudinal mode, occurring in liquid propellant rocket engines that are employed in current practice. Experimental results are used both to help generate realistic physical models for combustion-wave phenomena in heterogeneously reacting systems, and for subsequent verification of theoretical results.
