Abstract:

The improvement in the heat resistance of steels and alloys, i. e., the increasing of the period of service at elevated temperatures and lowering the rate of creep in the second area proves to be one of the timely problems in modern metallurgy. The combining of plastic deformation with heat treatment, and also the radiating of metals with nuclear particles create premises for considerable improvement in heat-resistant properties.
