This report describes the significant accomplishments made on the research and development of magnesiummagnesium perchlorate batteries. Two factorial design experiments were run to determine the most practical grid for the manganese dioxide depolarizer. Data concerning the N5 cell type is presented in detail. The new N5 cell design is introduced to the ANPRC-62 application. Other variables such as type carbon, per cent carbon and type blend were investigated and their effect on cell performance is discussed. Author
