Progress on a fairly large number of projects is described in this semi-annual report. With one exception, these projects can be grouped into four categories Plasmas, Electromagnetics, Fluid Dynamics and Ablation studies. The general theme of nearly all projects in the first three groups is concerned with the electromagnetic properties of ionized gases andor plasmas, such as the properties of antennas, excitation of waves in plasmas, propagation through plasmas, measurement of electron densities of shock waves, precursor studies of shocks, instabilities in plasmas, properties of laboratory plasmas and basic kinetic theory of ionized media. A few others are concerned with gas flow problems. The contribution on Ablation is the final one on this contract. Author
