The report describes simulated altitude flight testing of an advanced fuel control and combustion system. The contract provides for the development of a fuel and control system that will enable a turboprop engine to operate on a wide variety of contaminated fuels. The engine testing was conducted to fulfill the functional verification requirement of the contract, and verified the capabilities of this advanced system to start and operate under simulated flight conditions using a variety of fuels. Starting tests were accomplished with specified fuels at several simulated flight speeds at altitudes of sea level, 5,000, 10,000 and 25,000 feet. Steady-state engine operational tests were also accomplished at several simulated flight speeds at altitudes of sea level, 10,000 and 25,000 feet. Author
