Abstract:
A theoretical computation for absorption by water vapor, using the rigid asymmetrical top rotor for all angular momentum quantum numbers J or 12 and half-widths calculated by Andersons theory, is compared to experimental data over the range of 20 microns to 50 microns. The comparison is made with consideration to determining the best of five line shapes for this spectral interval. The theoretical values of transmissivity are given for all five line shapes using the specific parameters of the experimental spectra. Author
