Abstract:
Studies indicate that line-scan television in the visible spectrum offers numerous advantages over conventional snapshot techniques for observing the earth from a satellite. These studies include the investigation of several camera design concepts, one which is described here to illustrate the current state of the art. They also included a parametric examination, summarized here, of coverage and other measures of system effectiveness for a postulated mission. Author
