Abstract:

The properties of thin ferromagnetic films of nickel-iron-molybdenum are studied as a function of composition and method of manufacture. Experimental data are presented and discussed on magnetostriction, anisotropy, dispersion of anisotropy, coercive force, saturation induction, magnetoresistance, and resistance. Many of these results are in general agreement with data published by other authors the principal exception is the dependence of the coercive force on substrate temperature. Author
