Abstract:

Results of a computer program to solve the elastohydrodynamic equations are presented. The method of solution is applicable to moderately loaded cases. The results check and extend previously published isothermal cases. Also included is a highly accurate method for calculating film thickness profiles, correcting a previous erroneous method. The flexibility of the program permits its further use in obtaining solutions of the elastohydrodynamic equations including thermal effects. Author
