COMBUSTION OF FUEL DROPS. FORCED CONVECTION AND INTERACTION EFFECTS

A brief review was made of the theoretical and experimental results in reference to the combustion of single fuel drops in a still atmosphere. Several experimental results on the effects of forced convection and interaction in the combustion of fuel drops are given and compared to those for the case of a single drop in a still atmosphere. Analysis is made of the possible application of this experimental evidence to the combustion of sprays.
